Here you will find a reimplementation of Sonic R (the 1998 Sega PC release), decompiled from the original executable and rebuilt as modern, portable C. It runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux (via SDL2) and on the Sega Dreamcast (via KallistiOS), sharing one game-logic codebase across all targets.

AI Disclosure

The latest project from jnmartin84, who previously did Dreamcast ports of other classic games. This project also restores the original network options (LAN and online) functionality from the 1998 PC release, which had been dropped in the 2004 PC re-release. It also includes crossplay between PC and Dreamcast players.
