Gaming So whos actually buying pokemon?

Being 19, I only have one "friend" that thinks I'm childish for even playing video games to begin with.
Is that going to hinder me buying a recreation of one of my favorite games? HECK NO!
Infact I am very tempted to camp out infront of Gamestop to pick up my copy on release day!

Well I have a $50 Gamestop gift card coming from u.talk.back so it's either SoulSilver, Nintendo Points, Monster Finder (Foto Showdown), or save up for Monster Hunter 3. Besides, the Pokemon Video Game Showdown is using HG/SS, and I'm not talented enough to get by in the card game. I wanna go to Hawaii damn it!

HELL YEAH! I'm buying Soul Silver and my bro's getting Heart Gold. I had Nintendo fix my Silver's battery just so I could re-live the original! I didn't have my GBC, but my SP was good enough for the nostalgia kick. Might buy a GBC off eBay (same colour and everything) for the fuck of it.

it's not a case of child in adults body just that the games can be so much damn fun when online.
Personally I buy the games and pirate them for use of (legit) hacked teams to play online and for events.
Anyone thinking about HG/SS should at least try it if you've played the originals.

I know what you mean, I sold some of my games ever since I got my flash cards. I haven't bought a game or even gotten a game as a gift in over 2 years now well other the fake platinum my boy friend accidentally got me from ebay, this will be the first pokemon I got since Ruby o.o
(even though I am not the one buying it)
