Oh I know, I just back up my junk and then stick it back on when Im done!

Yeah I would but it's nice to have a collection, I mean some cart exploits don't work on certain versions so I mean hey why not get them all?
System transfers only work on the latest firmware so having games working in different firmwares won't help you do anything, and the target console won't be transferred the ticket anyway making the game unusable until you install a ticket. In which case why bother downloading it in the first 3DS, when you could just download it on the second with no need to system transfer?

Does anybody know if the upcoming HB exploit in SmileBASIC will work with the update of SmileBASIC, or only with the base version? Or maybe it needs the update?
When I buy SmileBASIC should I update it or wait?

Thanks.

I wouldnt take the risk tbh. If you're planning to do this hax, dont update it until we know its 100% safe

It's actually a great idea to update. The reason is, you can revert to the old version by just renaming your game's update directory. Then you can go back to the latest by naming it back to the original.

If you don't update before the inevitable patch, you'll limit your options.

Wait, so it's a perfect time to update SB? I still haven't update it yet, so it's on version 3.3.0.

Is it possible to update the US version on an EU console, with the game obtained from freeshop?
The normal update dialog does not work.

Hmm..would I not be able to put my SD card in that other 3DS to get around that junk? Sorry I just haven't actually tried any of this yet

The bug used to launch the ROP is still present on the latest SB version (3.3.1) so you should just go ahead and update. Nba is using 3.2.1 though, so there's always a chance it won't work on the most recent.

No, games are encrypted per console. Otherwise anybody could just buy eShop games and copy them onto SD cards to share with their friends, and CFW would never have been invented (people would have just uploaded the contents of their SD cards). Somebody released something called "moveable0key.sed" or something like that which allows you to play games from the same SD card on multiple consoles but it essentially bricks many functions including eShop so is not recommended unless you have a NAND backup to restore from plus a hardmod or a9lh.

Right sorry I had forgotten all about that, well I suppose it'll just be a collection with a ton of options! But I may whip something up soon, or atleast try, so I could get the transfers to be a bit easier, give me a couple weeks or something and I'll think of something
