Wii remote, Wii remote and nunchuk, classic controller or GC pad are your options...
which one did you chose and where do you see the advantages in your chosen control scheme?

(also, is there a scan of the manual released? if anyone could just tell me yes/no i'd appreciate it)

I chose the Wiimote + Nunchuk combination, principaly 'cause I wasn't satisfied with the other ones.

Wiimote only : Hard to perform some moves (A+B is a kinda inconfortable combination)
GC Pad : No vibration ;D
Classic controller : Don't like the stick.

I play with the Wiimote + Nunchuk combination, and I find it quite good in fact. I just disabled the jump when pushing the Nunchuk stick up, as I prefer to have to press a button to jump.

Hope it helps.

I like the nunchuk + Wii remote

I like this because it gives a challenge =P other than playing the gc controller over and over. I'm also wondering if you can change the shake smash into a shake special attack so it would be more fun to play

In my opinion are Wii-mote+nunchuck, Gamecube controller and Classic work best good.

Wii-mote sideways just sucks for the following reasons:

* Hard to jump.
* Impossible to UP-tilt moves. "This removes lots of combo ability."
* Annoying to drop down of platforms.

The only downside of the Wii-mote + nunchuck combo is that it misses a second analogue making it harder to smash instant.
