Good luck removing bayonetta, Nintendo is funding her game, which means a gaurentee inclusion in smash. It would be moronic to remove her from one of the best franchise promoting games.

Oh no, I wouldn't want pac removed. Is he a infurating character to play against sometimes? Absolutely. But just because it makes me mad doesn't mean he should be removed. I don't feel like any character should be.... wait no actually cut the fire emblem cast down just a little, corrin should stay? robin and then marth. get rid of lucina. And maybe get rid of ike and roy... I say maybe because roy is different enough from marth. And ike... well, if cloud stays then ike kind of feels useless.

The way I see it, as long as they aren't exceeding 5 characters per franchise, with the exception of their first-party properties (Mario, Zelda, etc) it's fine the way it is for the most part. That said, I think Dr. Mario should just be a Mario costume, with him throwing pills instead of shooting Flower Power. Also, if they even remotely plan on keeping Lucina, then they need to either A) Make her move set unique, or B) Make her a Marth costume.

You realize that Fire Emblem was published by Nintendo, right? Not to mention, the series was developed by Intelligent Systems and Nintendo R&D.

Both of those series have cooler characters that could make it in (I'd personally enjoy seeing Paper Mario)

Yeah, I've always cheered for Paper Mario, but I'm also not a fan of the idea of 3 versions of the same character being separate fighters; perhaps they could combine Mario and Dr. Mario into one slot where the last 8 skis are Dr. Mario and the fireballs look like pills but the damage and effects are ultimately all the same, I'd be ok with that. Else, I'd even welcome Captain Toad before Waluigi. If Nintendo ever decided to one day truly develop Waluigi beyond that of roster filler and have him star or co-star in a game of his own, then maybe I could get more excited by the idea of turning him into a fighter, until then, I just don't get the appeal.

i know but still generic looking anime characters. like it's boring to me. no appeal like mario. Also I also main doctor Mario I moded it to be Metal Mario with metal sounds and everything and blue flames. I'm glad they kept dr.mario. i dont like mario's move set with fludd and dair being tornado

Get rid of Dark Pit (cheap, lazy clone), Corrin, Lucina (female Marth clone), Lucas (also Ness clone) and Dr. Mario (Mario but with pill attacks, big whoop). Other than that, the roster's fine.

I want a SMASH THE STACK character! The finishing move knocks everyone off the screen fades it to black, and you see text scrolling as a payload is injected and then it boots up to cfw, and then everyone that was playing has to go back to doing something else, as you just forceably ended everyone's play session! lol

Hey if there can be dull avatars with lame moves, then why couldn't there be a more excting SMASH THE STACK character IN SMASH to double smash it out of the park, like Nes's baseball bat!

Anyway the last version of smash didn't suck me in, but hopefully this one will!

Totally agree, but still, they're a fairly big part of Nintendo's history, no reason not to have a couple of its characters in Smash. The current number is totally overkill, but there shouldn't be none at all.
