(PROBLEM SOLVED!)

So, this is my spec:
NOTEBOOK
Intel Core i5 5200U, 6GB RAM, Geforce 930M, Windows 10 64x

I am no familiarized with DS emulation at all, years ago i played a lot in my DS Lite but i don't have it anymore...
Wanted to play some games, tried Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, one of my favorites.

Game lags a lot in some parts with lots of enemies using desmume (in the beggining for instance, when you cross a room to reach Julius and Yoko, that room full of monsters just before reaching them for instance - aparentlly this don't happen using NO$GBA, but there are missing backgrounds in some parts with that emulator).

The FPS drops to 60 to 40 or less... And it's annoying.
I make some changes in the emulator, got a better performance, but still lags...
Is my spec not enough to emulate Nintendo DS fluently? I believe it's capable since i run PSP here with the PPSSPP like a charm.
Any tips or solutions for this lag problem? It happens in Portrait of Ruin too, really miss some good DS games :/

That's it.
Thanks.

First, i have a 3DS.
Second, i live in Brazil and most of these games are expensive as hell, even more with DS Tittles.
I just want a solution with the emulator, man lol

You have a 3DS?
Then use TWLoader or get a flashcard (or do both)

You could also modify the emu's settings

My 3DS isn't "unlocked" (i don't know how to say it in english, here in Brazil we call it this way)
Anyways, it means that i only buy original games, physically or digitally.

Also, case closed guys.
I accidentally find out the problem, and it's really weird and don't make any sense to me:
The FPS counter was making the game to lag on DeSmume.
What the fuck.
I remove it, and the game runs perfectly now.

Well... Is this kinda of a bug on Desmume? (Lagging with the HUD showing the FPS)
Or it's just happening to me?

UPDATE:

Find out other thing, now this could be because of my machine:
Desmume 0.9.8 have almost no lag in most of games, now 0.9.11 has considerable more lag than thiat version.

In a nutshell: i will use 0.9.8 and do not use the FPS counter.

Does this TWLoader needs a modified 3DS of some sort? And does it have any chances to "brick" my 3DS?

Yes you will need to hack your 3ds that is now possible on the 3ds on 11.6 with seedminer.

He didn't ask for help on alternatives or snarky "just buy a DS" responses, it is very annoying (for OP) to receive replies that aren't helpful to the situation.

Also, TWLoader requires a 3ds with CFW and a large amount of games simply don't work or have major bugs which is simply bringing OP back to square one.
