i lol @ noobs who buy unofficial products.

I recommend

R4
CycloDS

Screw M3.

There is no R4-III or R4-Ultra or Anything. It's R4. That's it. Just R4.

Also for Slot-2

EZ-Flash 3-in-1

Any Slot-1 Card will work as a passme.

gawd.

this is probably completely well know but if you download a program called gimp from cnet it is an immage editor and can convert any of the regular r4 themes to the 16 bit format needed for the r4 ultra.

download and install gimp then download what ever theme you want. select the 4 files that make up the theme and right click on them it should have the option open with gimp. open the file then do a save as do not change the name and click ok untill you get to the window with the advanced button it. click on the 16 bit option that says x1 r5 g5 b5 and overwrite the regular one this file will work for the r4 ultra themes. should take you no more than a minute to covert the 4 bitmaps from a theme. gl

i bought an r4 ultra nd love it i bought supercardone for my othr ds and tried the cheap r4 on my sons and have had no problems! it runs my games and all my dgps perfectly. im no noob ive been on the scence a few years now and if you want a cheap functioanl card i highly recommenrd the r4 ultra, i have noticed most people that have troubles with it are useing the wrong software, not the r4 ultra software. it doesnt have all the bells and whistles of the supercard one, but it does everything i want it to no problems. to change the r4 skins convert the pics to 16 bit like stated above. on the r4 card you will see like 10 themes folders. delete the contents out of theme 1 and put the theme you want in it. i havent found a way to cycle maualy so everytime you want to change themes you have to put the new one you want to use in theme one folder everytime. but hey for 6 bucks ill do it

I have tried the above steps over and over again and it's still not working for me. Any ideas? I've even tried replacing all 12 themes with the same theme and then my theme just goes all purple with no other options for me. Help!!

I still like DTV but the wire wasn't long enough to reach the window still pick up 40 channels
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea me too, esp for local news, sports, or channel surfing. I get like 60 channels but there's like 15 shopping networks, and bunch other bs, religion, Hispanic, etc. I went thru and blocked most those on tv channel settings.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is 1 Hispanic channel I kept, sometimes they have soap operas on it, w scandalous clothed hotties, I just beat mute it.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Ah yes the Juan channel order 15 pairs of feet
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
I got this antenna but the damn thing has usb power right next to the coax plug and you can't actually extend it without usb extension the Pic makes the cable look longer than it actually is https://a.co/d/501IQf2
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Use a old phone/ USB charger block thing, plug into wall instead of tv usb. Use cheap extension cord if need.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
You still need usb extension because coax end cord is the same length
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Oh I thought you were gonna extend the coxial cable with another 10 footer
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
I am but you need both to make it work
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
    I meant like this.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
You don't have to use the tv usb, any USB 5v will power it. USB extention cables are not cheap either, so this would be cheaper way.
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
The coax to the tv is at the same port as the power
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
All soldered into the pcb so you can't just unscrew it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Use a cable coupler to extend it from there.
    200-053_03.jpg
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yeah but you have to have extension to usb also it's the same length basically
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
They're both on the same end
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
Yes that's the goal but it still may not fit the wall plug from the window
  • K3Nv3 @ K3Nv3:
    They're cheap anyway a 10ft usb cable is $5
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Your tv may also even have an option to turn off USB power when tv off, will save a little money on power.
  • AdenTheThird @ AdenTheThird:
Maybe it's just because it's two in the morning, but watching a conversation about TV power source logistics using google images and a paint app is fucking hilarious
    +1
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea I'm on my tablet and using a lame paint app, it sucks. I'm too lazy to get out of bed and fire up PC.
