Hacking Simple Question. Acekard 2i and 3DS

I just got my Acekard 2i in the mail. Website description said it would be working out of the box. Of course they were wrong, I put in my Micro SD in it with games and the cartridge isn't showing up. I believe I have to update the cart with firmware or atleast put some kind of firmware on it. I only have access to a 3DS so I hope I don't need any other DS to get it working. Any help would be greatly apprecitated!

If it's not working you probably need another DS to update it... BUT, now that I think of it, there's probably somethign else wrong if the card isn't showing up at all... in the past when I've needed an update it still showed up in the menu... just couldn't boot the thing.

Thanks for the quick response. I found out the problem. Since I lost my micro sd reader for my computer, I had to put the sd into my phone which added other files. I had to delete the files then download the latest software and add that to the root. Now it runs. Thanks again!
