that question you replied too. I mean for what did I did the OP writeup if noone reads it, and this time it's not @HamBone41801 trying to ask the noobiest question he can on purpose, that one was a real one.
Well, some people just can't read.

Is this a Noob expriement again?
I don't think so, we have Hami for that

agreed

@pixelmasher I have to correct myself, I was just dumb enough launching the ntr card from the homemenu instead of using a ntr card launcher.

A lot of cards just crash that way. I wish there was a patch to make all those older cards work again from home menu since we have SigHax now. (I don't know if that actually changes anything in making the cards work again.)

iirc there is a twlnand patch or something that removes the blacklist, even though luma should do it, i still need a launcher for my dsone

If I sounded like I was trying to flame/troll someone I'm sorry, but the readme was a bit confusing for me so I wanted to confirm my doubts. I'm grateful for the reply anyway and will follow the guide later to update my n3ds.

I don't have any stock 11.4 to test. I have couple cheap R4 (clones?) that refuse to work. Since I B9S'd all my consoles I can't even use Corbenik to try until that gets sorted out.

Go into Luma and check a certain thing and it should boot into unpatched-nand

you can use ctrbootmanager converted as firm to launch the brahma payload/directly convert corbeniks brahma payload and try if it boots

@addi33

Question: I read OP. Is the below part still relevant with the new Luma & Luma updater (safety part when updating CFW)?

"Therefore it's harder to update - basically like an A9LH update (not the payload but the actual FIRM write).
You risk bricking each time you write to the FIRM"

I haven been out of the loop so not sure whether this has been discussed/answered

well @d0k3 basically eliminated the brick risk, afaik the b9sinstaller backs up the firms and in case of a malicious firm write it will rewrite the backed up firm onto it, I didn't looked into the code that much I am not sure if he also implemented the feature to unmount the sdcard and then launch an emergency payload to restore the nand (gm9) like he did in safectrtransfer

Ok ok ok, hold on.
I'm a bit skeptic about this new exploit.
I already read the: "What the heck SigHack Is" tread, and I have a few questions:
Warning, Noob Alert.

Ok, so apparently, the only thing that grants us is an unpatchable Custom Firmware. Isn't that the purpose of A9?

As a A9 user, why would I HAVE to update my 3DS into this? Yes, I already stated that you can do almost "anything" with this new one. And again: Isn't A9 able to do that?
If the only thing that SigHax gives me is bypassing the 40 DSi titles, it's really not worth it.

Also, isn't a bit dangerous to mess with the processor itself? If something bad happens when installing, wouldn't be the end of the system itself?

As always: These things are a bit (A BIT) unstable at first. Remember when RXTools came out? Some said that it worked, some bricked their systems. Same with A9. So, I think I'll let this one pass me buy until the: "I followed "X" tutorial and it didn't worked for me" period.

Now, if it REALLY lets you make ANYTHING I WANT as stated in the post, what I WANT is being able to install homemade games using Game Engines instead of libraries.
I think its impossible, like, running on my 3DS a game made in Unity, or Blender... but honestly, that's what I WANT.

On a more serious matter: A9 has become that obsolete? Really? And "things" from now onwards will require SigHax? By "things" I mean Homebrew, Apps, Games and Themes.
Do I REALLY have to update in order to keep up with a scene that will die anytime during next year? The 3DS is getting to the end of his life cycle, I mean this because: WHAT ELSE CAN WE DO WITH AN ALREADY EXPLOITED CONSOLE?
I don't mean to "scream" with the capital statements, just trying to give emphasis to the fact that, its quite impossible, in my opinion to extract more juice with this SigHax thing.

I think, I will wait a bit longer. As to now, I'm satisfied with my 11.2 A9 3DS.

I don't think that's how it works... Still no go.

I tried to setup CTRBootManager a while ago, but gave up in frustration. :wtf:
I'll just wait. I have Acekard and that's supposed to work with NTRBootHax. I also have my 2DS I can use as a guinea pig anyway. It's not something I need. Just thought it would be cool check it out.

switch on lumas svc patches and launch the ctrbootmanager 3dsx and then you can launch any brahma payload

A9LH is THEORETICALLY patchable, iirc.

No more support for a9lh from Aurora = Yes, it's basically obsolete.

You can do whatever you want, m8. We're not here to convince you to do anything. Just pls, don't create a new thread as soon as some of your shit will stop working.

actually really simple, ninty has to change the syscall that is responsible for firm writing at updating the fw, best thing add a new one, luma will try to patch the old syscall, it will fail, firm0/firm1 with payload_stage2 get's overwritten with clean firm, a9lh wiped off

if that fails though, it will render the 3ds unit semibricked which will get ninty in trouble

Could they do the same with B9S?
