Show your morales D:<

It's really hard to ignore the fact that you found contact info of the original owner and it's easy as a phone call.
The longer you take the more probable the original owner has got an other phone..... Which is not very nice.

Just do the right thing and keep looking into 9gag for a "Humanity Restored" post :P

If I was the original owner and you returned it to me, I'd feed you enough cookies as a reward to make you sick. :)

Entered thread solely to admonish you for using morales in your title rather than morals, but felt obligated to actually read the OP after seeing some responses...

Don't be an a-hole. Return it to its owner.

Actually I made a similiar thread before and at least from the poll most GBATemp member seem to be honest pirates XD

I would have given it back as fast as possible ! BUT than again all the time I was "nice" I got absolutely nothing out of it sometimes not even a "thank you" so maybe
you should go to the police as you actually should get a finder's reward ... not sure about your country but in Germany this is Law and you can get up to 500€ depending on the actual worth of the item.

So be good and have good Carma and make out of it what you can ! and maybe you are lucky and it is some super model who lost it and will reward you accordingly XD

How about.... contacting the owner if it's that dead simple ?

You shouldn't even be asking:

Just do it.

You want Morales? Fine.

On topic, keeping stolen property is bad. Don't do that. Did you really need the internet to tell you that? Really?

Man, does anyone remember when moral dilemmas were actual, you know, dilemmas?

More people rely on information from the internet than you realize... it's scary

On topic, I would take a hammer and a blowtorch to it just because I don't like them: but finding the rightful owner would be the right thing to do. Besides, who knows if you find the owner and she turns out to be a Megan Fox lookalike. :)

Give it back to the owner or your friend, it's up to you, but don't keep it for yourself. Since your friend found it, you might want to leave the decision up to him but suggest that he returns it.
You should of course give it back to the owner or ask your friend to do so, but if you have no soul feel free to keep it :P

Dude...just call the number that popped up on the phone, and return it yourself.

If you already know that persuading your roommate to give it back to the rightful owner would be a "fruitless attempt," why even consider it as an option?? I don't understand why you're making it more complicated than it needs to be with all these questions you're asking. Either you do the right thing and call that number, or keep it. It's a no-brainer.

As for a reward, don't expect one. Good karma should be enough, and if the owner decides to reward you, more power to you.

Man, when the freaking Internet has a stronger moral compass than you do, it's probably time for you to reevaluate yourself as a human being.

Dear Gahars,
The link provided was quite forbidden. Please provide another source for that .jpg file.

Anyway, the OP is thinking too hard. Just return the phone dammit, it's not complicated. Your roommate may suspect that you're the criminal, however you should be a good citizen.

So let me get this straight:
- You have in your possession a lost iPhone
- You have a simple and easy way to contact the owner
- You don't know what to do :wtf:

Are you fucking 5 yrs old? Either that or you're secretly hoping we'll tell you to keep it. Nope, not happening. Just give it back to the owner. If you don't, well, you're calling your roommate a dickwad? Look who's talking.

I would personally want to keep that Iphone 4s because I don't have one. However 9/10 times when I found something not mine my conscience always win. I would give back stuff I do not own.
