I realized Twilight Princess and Wind Waker were ported to Wii U in HD. Should I play classic or HD? I haven't really made too much usage of my Wii yet. Also I don't have a gamecube adapter and I am not planning on getting one. Thanks!
HD. The horse controls on twilight princess are worse, but other than that, both games play and look remarkably better than their classic versions. The addition of widescreen alone is enough of a reason to purchase the HD versions. That and the faster sale for wind waker.I realized Twilight Princess and Wind Waker were ported to Wii U in HD. Unless they are truly, truly terrible, I tend to find that decent texture work can do a very good job at helping to cover for low-triangle meshes. And let's face it, TP has good meshes. WW really doesn't factor in here, because the art style is such that triangle count in the meshes really doesn't matter. But, I prefer the HD rerelease in this case due to the tweaked gameplay mechanics (such as the alternate sail) and improved visuals, which lend themselves to the original art style extremely well. It's an aesthetic choice. I personally think the originals look better. The HD remakes play at higher resolution with larger textures, but the meshes have not been touched. I think the low poly meshes are jarring in high resolution and detract from the experience.
Have you played a gc game on dolphin upscaled? That's what the wiiu remasters basically look like.
If you want to play the orginials, but in widescreen, nintendont allows you to do that. That's my preferred way to play the gc zeldas.
I've played both games, both classic and HD. If all you have is a hacked Wii, or a PC with Dolphin, I'd say classic with the widescreen AR codes. But if you have a Wii U, I've found that the remakes have greatly benefited from the developer's hindsight, and tend to be a bit more enjoyable than the remakes (this is especially true for Wind Waker).

Ffx remake looks good for me. I think is more about who made the remake than the remake itself. The texture work is mostly faithful, and the meshes in TP and WW are good, but they were never meant to be seen at 1080. Nothing looks smooth anymore. Personally it bothers me when a circle looks like a dodecagon, but I understand a lot of people are fine with that.
To me the HD remakes look like frankenstein monsters. I'm happy that they were released so that today's kids can play these masterpieces, but they're not for me.
Original Twilight Princess, but definitely HD Wind Waker

HD has no improvement but HD textures and a bonus dungeon. Why do you say that ?
