Any news regarding a patch for the poor R4 / other users? I really want to play it, i'm tired of waiting and i don't want to buy it without first trying it out.

I really hate Mudo it always targets me and 100% successful and it happens exactly after fighting 2 bosses in a row and just before saving.

This is like a in Persona 3/Nocturne , because if the MC is killed then its game over.

But I still like the game

My character is called Guild McCommy. "McCommunist" wouldn't fit

I'm on the second "boss" or whatever. I forget his name but it starts with a M. And he's damn hard. Looks like I'll be doing some grinding.

Great game though.

His name is Morax , right?

I had him in my party for quite some time.
He was pretty awesome.

BTW, are you using Demon Co-Op a lot?
You should use it; I've never had to grind even once with my all-neutral party, sinceI had all elements at my disposal.

Now that I've become lawful, that won't work anymore...

Also, are you planning to review this game?

Grinding involved

. I find myself underleveled in Bootes after Norris...although that can be overcome with time (getting more gold and breeding some stronger monsters), it hurts the flow

Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert!

Spoiler Alert! Spoiler Alert!

Not sure how to properly insert a spoiler so this was the first post trying. dont reead anymore of my post if you dont want bootes end boss spoiled.

Atleast for the boss in bootes he is weak to wind and uses ice attacks. So have jackfrost ( hits the guy back when he uses ice attacks for like 150+ damage) and grind till you have the forma to make the armor that is ice resistant (cant remember name) My MC had a gun that had a wind shot and i had one other guy with a wind attack. then jack and a guy with media. Took down the bootes boss around lvl 17 or 18 without too much effort. ( After i found out he was weak to wind and used Ice.

Eridanus Boss Spoilers:

He killed all of my demons. All of them.
I defeated him on my own, though. Cost me 6 Chakra Drops & over 35 Life Stones.
He made me level up 6 times. Awesomeness.

Fornax:
Wonderland Spoilers:

So, I met Alice.
I found the rabbit.
I cornered the rabbit.
The rabbit is scared. What for? She just wants to play!
Alice thinks.
Alice wants to play the punishment game.
Alice steps forward to skin the rabbit.
I stop her.
We battle.
I hit her.
Multiple times.
She is almost dead.
She sings a lullaby.
Everyone is asleep.
She uses Eternal Rest.
The whole party is killed, including me.
I lose 1 whole hour worth of playing time.

I love this game.

Excelent game. But im having trouble getting some "Wilder" demon to access the boss on level 3

Go back to Bootes/Antila and get some lower level demons and try different fuses until you get something (luckily I had in my compendium a Wilder demon).

So what exactly is the big deal over this Shin Megami franchise?

I played the last one and tried this one and they're just RPG's that have already been done.

But everyone seems to be flipping out over them. Is there some sort of hidden subliminal message I'm missing?

They're really good?
If you don't see it you might as well go buy a 360 and play some CoD. (or, simply go to where your 360 with MW2 already is a play it instead of your DS)

SMT games are very well done RPGs. They also have something basically no other turn based game has: an element of DIFFICULTY.

a real challenge, clicheé break, a deep plot, moral decisions, (corruption, deceit, duality, leap of faith), LOTS OF DECISIONS, different monsters (different origins than the square ones: goetia, chinese/japanese/ hindu mithology more deeply explored), lots of exploration, and normally yout choices do make difference in the world around you

thats about it

I know what the games have in them, I've played them...

I'm just curious as to why people never shut up about it?

Because they are THIS good. In fact they are nearly a cross between wrpgs and jrpgs.

And (nearly) all of them exceed in the storyline which is actually deep and not only pseudo-philosophic blabber with no depth at all like in most jrpgs.

That's why.
