Hacking Self host from wiiu any size sd card(fully self contained)

network noob help required

wanted to give this a shot despite ZERO networking knowledge.
I have a zsun, miscroSD card and PC running win7 pro with ethernet (wired) bband.
I am stuck at the first steps ..........

in flashing OpenWRT, tutorial states:

1. Insert FAT32-formatted microSD card (128MB is more than enough) is this inserted into zsun or PC?
2. Connect to WiFi what wifi? my router from my PC?
3. http://10.168.168.1:8080/goform/Setcardworkmode?workmode=0 where / what is this?
4. Create .update directory on Zsun SMB/Windows Share (on Windows call it .update... I assume this is on PC?

1. sd card goes in zsun
2. connect to the zsun access point.
3. that is a url, put it in a web browser.
4. open up my computer and go to \\10.168.168.1 in the address/location bar. That is how you get to SMB shares.

For point 4, I'm on a mac, but here is something that might help:

open your desktop in file explorer ,
right click on my computer,
goto map network drive
select a drive letter
type \\zsun\public as folder path
that should allow you to access the directory

side note i noticed when u create the ".update" folder the device will rename the folder. copy the update file to this folder an it will work

Anyone got a solution for error -1 when flashing?

I got this error or some type of error trying to flash through the web browser. I connected with socat and run the commands directly through the console. That worked for me. I've posted links to the info more in the beginning of this thread. I did the setup on this thing a long time ago.

1. Insert SD into ZSUN
2. No. Once ZSUN is connected to any usb port, it starts to act as wifi router. So you should be able to see a new wifi network. Connect to this zsun wifi network.
3. You just copy-paste this in your browser (chrome/firefox). But this will only work if you connected to wifi from zsun.
4. Yes and no. Obviously you do this from your PC. But the folder will have to be created on zsun sd card. For this reason you "attach" remotely zsun.

If my answers didn't help you much, I would suggest asking your friend (who has some network knowledge) for help.

But i can not get on the Interface anymore cause i deleted all the stuff inside the WWW Folder before copying loadiine stuff. (Im a noobie sorry)
Can anyone give me all the Files and Folders so that i can put them back with WinSCP?

i had to edit the rights of luci file.
And had to add the luci-static folder too.

Hi,

Im trying to reset my zsun, from what ive read you have to remove and insert the sd card while booting but how am I supposed to do that when the sd slot is on the same side as the usb connector.

Manged to solve that.

Could anyone explain how I connect zsun to my existing wireless network, I want to be able to download covers in gx2.

I'm on Windows 10, and I've got as far as using a SMB share, creating the folder .update. (Which automatically renames to UPDAT~WY.___) and copying the .gz file across. When it comes to running the second url, all I get is {"status":-1}. If I try again, I get {"status":-2}

Any ideas on where I'm going wrong?

I've tried using my mac, but it won't let me create the .update folder because of the . at the start of it.

EDIT: I've tried the putty way of doing things as well. But it always times out, even after telling the firewall to open up UDP port 67.

I don't really get it. So i downloaded the config file, but what do i do with it? whenever i type in 192.168.1.1 on the address bar it brings me to loadiine because my index got replaced my loadiine. How do i browse or edit files that are stored in zsun now?

When i open the config files it just gives me an error. Please help

Have you copied the file config.html to /www ?
You need to navigate to 192.168.1.1/config.html if you wish to get into OpenWRT admin console

You can keep old static html version and add this php version exploit :
Just create a new folder wiibrew under /www on your ZSUN and put the www folder content (from the pack above) in it
Run wii U webbrowser, go to http://ZSUN_IP/wiibrew

I experience better success rate of HBL launching
Plz give some feedbacks if it's the same for you

My friend tried it and got the same issue as here.
I'm sure I installed php as well on his ZSUN stick so this can't be the reason.
Any ideas? Maybe he just messed up with the files via WinSCP.
He'll handle me over his ZSUN tonight so I have to fix it.
I did not try it on my own with my ZSUN to be honest since I'm staying online with my Wii U because of Mario Maker

It doesn't work at all here. I get into the pages but if I select the hbl/index.php I get
File could not be loaded, error 122-1209.
When I use 551hbl.mp4 I get
Video could not be loaded. Do you want to refresh the page? Error 122-2818.

Have you removed https from the config file?
"6. edit out https info in /etc/config/uhttpd"
Remove the https lines (3 lines)... so your ZSUN will only listen on port 80/http
And the video will work after that.

Thx. It's my buddy's ZSUN, not mine. And as I found out he skipped the php installation part. -.- So I've gotta edit the uhttpd anyway. I'll do it tomorrow.

Would you mind sharing the content of your httpd file as it's still not working here, even on my own ZSUN which has php installed for sure and worked with old exploits for 5.3.2 all the time back then.
