I just bought an 8gb sd card and I cant reformat it to fat , it will only let me format it as fat32 can someone help me ? I wanna try dumping my madden 09 game on it
FAT has a size-limit of 4GB. Can you guess why you can't format your 8GB card to it?

why?

FAT16's limit is in fact 4 GB (or, to be very precise, 64 KB less than that). DOS and the Windows versions based on DOS, however, would not be able to access FAT16 with cluster sizes larger than 32 KB, which is half the maximum size, so they are limited to 2 GB. If the very outdated FAT16 is chosen as a file system, it is often assumed to be supposed to be compatible to those old versions, so the 2 GB limit may be artificially imposed.
