Hacking SDHC card recommendations please.

Greetings i have a card that takes mirco SDHC cards and it works fine for all files under 256mb, for files of that size the loading freezes about 90 to 95 % through. i have tried sandisk and sandisk ultra 4gb cards and both are the same. the same cart worked fine for these size games with a previous 4gb card but that card has sense bronken in half. i cant buy much online. should i continue to invest in cards or just get a new cart?

It sounds like your card reader might be the problem.

The card reader is the decide you're using to read and write to the MicroSD on your computer.

Cheap card readers (especially ones that come free from china with flash carts) are often crappy and cause all sorts of problems when they overheat and corrupt data. We see it all the time.

I am using the same reader that it originally worked with, is there any other possibilities, thanks for the help thus far though.

It's entirely possible for something to be working one day, and faulty the next.

Try another reader.

thought it was the firmware for a bit after i changed readers and it still didnt work, i downgraded the firmware and it worked for a while. Now though its back to not loading.

What flashcart is this? What card reader are you using?

If you want microSD recommendation it comes down to Samsung Class 6/10 or Transcend Class 6. If you want to be cheap get Sandisk Class 2 (don't get other Sandisk microSD).

R4i-Advance, it claims to be R4 Revolution but im sure its a clone, the website is the cardname .com i cant link to it i believe. as for the card reader ive been using the adapter that comes with my Sandisk Utra micro SDHC card. same i have been using all along but i have tried another with the same results. thanks for taking time with this thread.

I suggest you invest in a new flashcart first, R4i Gold from http://www.r4ids.cn/.

As for card reader and microSD, was it in official Sandisk package when you bought it?
