Hi,

I have Vita with sd2vita installed, no original vita memory card is being used (I believe the slot might not even work). Everything is just fine. But once I try to copy the files from the 16gb microSD card I am currently using to 64gb... it just doesn't work. First apps like Vita Shell say that they are corrupted, and after restarting the Vita, it runs database update and all the apps and games just vanish from the main screen. The card was formatted to exFAT and I did copy everything from the old one (including the OS protected files that are not usually visible). I tried to google the answer to this problem but from what I found, just copying the files like this should be enough, so I am not really sure what else to do now...

Thnaks

You say you got the Protected OS files, which is good, but did you get just the normal hidden folders? Because there are both Hidden, and Protected OS Files when viewing the SD card contents on Windows, and doing just Protected OS Files isn't enough to show the normal hidden folders.

Yes, I did. And as a sidenote, its not even possible to see the OS protected files while having the "normal" ones still hidden.

Make sure your sdcards are not fake.
Format the sdcard again and try to use the cmd to copy the files.

I tried it several times already. It is a 64Gb Samsung card purchased from a large (and Id say reputable) retailer, so I hope it is not fake.

Hi. Test your card :

Come back to tell us if this is a genuine 64gb card.

(this is of course if you did write zzblank.img as Dave_Chad asked, or else try that already : http://wololo.net/2017/07/20/setting-sd2vita-adapter-formatting-microsd-can-done-windows/ )

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
