Is there some sort of benchmark to verify how fast that the 3ds can read cards at? I would imagine that it can take advantageof class 10 cards because the certified cards that nintndo verified work AOK include even a couple of UHS-1 cards which I doubt they'd even think of including for any sane person.

The 3ds's bus speed is similar to the ds correct, meaning that game cards can xfer at ~16MB/s at the top speed, so the SD card/micro sd card slot in the n3ds should be class 10 or higher in terms of capability to read data right?

I know on the psp there's plenty of benchmarks for reading data off of the memory stick, but I'm unaware of ay such software for the 3ds.

No, it won't even take full advantage of a class 4 card. UHS-1 cards are so cheap these days you may as well get one just for the PC transfer rates anyway.

Should i go for a 32gb Lexar professional class 10 633X 95mb/s for 20euros or a 42 gb Lexar professional class 10 1000X 150mb for 32 euros?

Or some other brand, size, etc?

Go for either a Sandisk/Samsung/Transcend, Samsung being the top recommendation followed in my opinion trancend, the amount failing sandisk flash memory and slow speeds etc among all their products is no joke.

For around 23 euros you can get a 64gb samsung

Can only find Samsung Micro SDs on Amazon...but i need a normal SD one for my upcoming O3DS XL...

that's really really sad to hear, that's also insanely nuts that they'd be that slow. The DSi was able to read cards supposedly at up to 8MB/s so I was hoping that the 3ds/n3ds would be able to pull at least 12-16MB/s on reads.
