Hardware sd card port issue

Ich changed the sd card port. Now there is no reaction with the ground.
What function does the red wire have? Is this ground?

I mean this connection here:
As I recalled (maybe wrong), the red wire should be VSS pinout from Micro SD card socket
 
So if i check this red connection with a multimeter and go with one cable to the ground, it should not react? And vss means what exactly?
In Switch, I don't know exactly how it connect to the board. But in my previous project (an expand card reader for Pico), I wired it with GND like this schematic
