I've just tried with the latest stable release (2.2.1pre) and it correctly exits when you quit.
Strangely enough, the new supported games by version 2.2.0 (like Ultima 6, Ultima 8, etc.) are not recognized anymore ('there are no engines that support this game').

I've also tried the February 8 nightly build (2.3.0git) and it's crashing before launching the games. Interestingly I discovered that it started to add support for Grim Fandango.

I forgot to add that from quite some time I can't run anymore "I have no mouth...". It's saying it's missing some resource files, I've tried with 2 different copies and it's the same. Never had any problem with it in the past.
Can anybody confirm it's not working?
Was there ever a Wii build with support for U6 and U8? I could never get my hands in it.

About the Grim Fandango support, i wouldn't be so surprised since ResidualVM was merged with ScummVM some months ago, i think. Funnily enough, we had a ResidualVM build years ago thanks to Wiimpathy.

Do you know by any chance if Duckman still crashes?

Sorry I don't know about Duckman.
U6 an U8 were introduced in 2.2.0. I can launch them with the previous release and they're performing good. U8 is still slow when you get to the city, but has better overall performance compared to dosbox wii.
Yes, of course I remember about wiimpathy's ResidualVM.
With 2.2.1 I had a crash with bladerunner after a lot of playing, but it sucessifully autoreboot

Interesting. Thanks for the updated news.

Recently the latest version 2.5.0 of ScummVM was released with important new features, especially thanks to the integration of ResidualVM in the project.

The Longest Journey (spanish version) doesn't work for me (maybe the english version will work) and Grim Fandango gives error at startup.

Now also games like Crusader No Remorse are playable, but as already mentioned they are intended to be played with keyboard. In fact, even if Grim Fandango itself worked perfectly it wouldn't be very playable on the Wii version of ScummVm. The Nunchuk should be implemented or something like Grim Mouse should be added (it's amazing how well it plays with the mouse: http://tobiaspfaff.com/blog/2014/05/25/grim/) for this kind of games.

I think I'll keep using version 2.1.0 mod 18, which works fine and Sierra games load instantly.

- Phantasmagoria [Eng]
Plays perfectly. Did not test the save function.

The game was not working for me. I had try it with DOSBOX and is was working good, but the framerate is very slow with DOSBOX.
So far SCUMM is not working with Phantasmagoria for me. Save Function is not important for this game, each of the 7 Discs can be play for self. Tested with SD-Card. DosBox Wii has currently not enough power for this great game even when the cycle number is higher.

ScummVM PS2 was compatible with keyboard and mouse, maybe the feature is also available on the Wii?

Supposedly at least keyboard is working, but that's talking from memory a long time ago. Wiibrew says it works with keyboard too, but nothing about mouse.

In fact, it was so long I had version 1.5.0. Which is the recommended version now? It seems like each version has its own problems.

Can anyone explain why Grim Fandango will run on the old ResidualVM but not on the current "merged" version of ScummVM?

I've asked in their forums, but it's kind of dead there.

Was the refresh rate issue ever fixed? It always looked like it was sort of was skipping every other frame.

I am serious. Look at how smooth it is on PC, or even Dreamcast, but on Wii and GC it looks worse.
