I think you should almost got the same result than me Another World : iSMM First impression.

Only simple .srt are supported about subtitles and with no tags.

Ps : have you tried an avi + srt names like in your first post ?
example.avi and example.srt ?

You should try, to see if subtitles are displayed. On iSMM i have a bug. File name must be more than 8 char in order to find the .srt file.
The funny part is that i have the same bug on my iPlayer.

i haven't had any time to run any tests, i have been very busy with reviews and other duties. i will keep this bug in mind when i'm testing for the review supplement.

...Actually to tell the truth, I get a bit fed up of some people saying things like 'We were promised xxxx to be released on aa/bb/cc but it never did' but in this case we have NOT been promised it will be released today - only they expect it to be released today which IMHO is something totally different

Also Japan is 8-9 hours AHEAD of the UK - so technically when I posted, it had already been the 11th Nov for around 6-7 hours in Japan

Tried with an FLV file but no success on it actually playing. Playing a M4A file (Music) though, i'll try an AVI right now to see if it loads.

AVI with subs playing at great speed (pokemon episode one lol.)

WMV is playing great with great sound as well.

Switching from WMV to AVI had some slowdown, but its playing well.

Seeking is pretty much just tap the part you want to go to, not scrolling it.

OGM doesn't scan nor MP4 but I'm unsure if that is part of it.

Seeking shows no slowdown it seems.

Can anyone try a FLV file themselves? It might be a per file basis.

Doesn't seem like it does yet. Hopefully the V1.1 adds more functionality, but for the most part it works pretty well.
