Hacking saves not loading on r4i sdhc

hi! got my r4i sdhc 2020 a couple of days ago. all was going well until suddenly game saves simply stopped working. i'm sure my sims 2, mario 64, sonic advance 3 all had saved games -- i picked up playing where i left off with no difficulty the first time round. now each time i launch a game it simply starts anew, as if the save file was never there. reinstalled firmware, checked everything twice. .sav files still present.

anyone have any ideas?

Download the DesMuME emulator, and see if you can import your .sav files. If you can't or the game just starts at the beginning, then your saves are probably gone.
