Is it possible to make a save file of (let's say) Metroid prime 3 on dolphin or a other emulator (with cheats so you have a specific beam earlier than intended) and then use that save on the Wii.

Would it work and would my Wii (unmodded) be okay and save be okay?

if ur wii is not modded, there's no way

even if ur wii is modded, i doubt it would work... but maybe if using a savegame manager

just download a save file from HERE, then try copying to ur unmodded wii... if the game has copy protection u wont be able to copy it over without using a remove copy protection system menu hack (using priiloader or startpatch).

of course u could also always hack ur wii and use cheats on the wii

nothing in my comment did I say anything about piracy, there's a different between modding a wii and piracy. If u want u can hack ur wii and only use it for legal things like homebrew and cheats etc... no1 is going to force u to download games (which is piracy)... but u may want to backup your original disks that u own to USB so they don't get damaged. This is not piracy (but may still be illegal depending on where u r in the world... not in Canada), the choice is yours

well. here in holland downloading anything (exept child porn) is legal. as long as it is for private usage, uploading however is punnishable.

but back on topic. should it be possible or are the emulators using another save methode?

presumably u already have a save file from dolphin in mind, what's the extension of the file?

I'm not sure if it would work, but what I would do if I were u, is compare the save files from dolphin, savegame manager gx, and ninty's default saves (data.bin). If the dolphin save file is the same format as either of the other 2, u may be able to transfer it without much work... if its different (which I expect it to be), some1 smarter than me would need to write some code to convert dolphin saves for the wii as I am fairly certain this doesn't exist yet

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
