I haven't used them in PS2's but have been forced to use them in PC's in the past and they can be a little hit and miss
Multi-card RAID with SD cards is a terrible idea... But PS2 would mostly (exclusively?) be reading from these so other than heat the cards would probably hold up pretty well over time. And there probably wouldn't even be that much heat as PS2 HDD access will be slow as molasses.
Why not just get a decently sized SSD, though? Will definitely be cheaper than a SD card.
I've had some work for years without an issue, then some which are from the same batch die or just sit there corrupting data every 5 minutes
The black one is slim-sata (laptop optical drive type) so 1 more adapter you'll need
Yeah, get a SSD, it's very useful given how much time is wasted by reading some kilobytes every 128 MB every time the partition table needs to be loaded!
Well, I have an iFlash.xyz SD to IDE (but 1.8" ZIF, won't directly fit the network adapter) and it's very well built but 30 €Evertime when I read over this SD Card Adapter Thread again,I think, what a nonsensical Idea.
