Hello.
I hacked my Wii a while ago and everything works fine. The thing is I told a friend I could hack his console, and I did it with no problem except when I try to load some games like Mario Galaxy, that doesn't work and when I load it the screen goes black for ever, and all I can do is turn it off by pressing the power button (I say this because in the past I've had this problem but I can't even use the power button, in this case I can). The thing is, I hacked the wii in the exact same way and installed the same cIOS, in fact I did everything in the exact same way. Both Wii are NTSC and are in 4.3U. I've tried with different hard drives and with the same on both and still in one it works and in the other it does not. And other games work just fine. The only thing I can think could be causing the problem is that my friend's wii whas originally european, and he changed his region to NTSC. Still, he's had it for many years and it always worked fine, although the console was hacked many times but not by him, he used to play with burned CD's on NeoGamma, which is still installed. The console was in 3.4U and I updated it to 4.3U, but as I say, I had no problem before this. I did syscheck on both consoles, I don't know how to analyse it so I leave it here, the only thing I could see is that there are no differences between both syscheks, they're the same. I'm sorry if it's hard to understand, I'm not a native english speaker. Thank you a lot.

By looking at both SysCheck, they do not identify which version of HBC you currently have (should be 1.1.2 IOS58 v24.32). SysCheck HacksDen Edition 2.4.0 provides more detail, but I'll save you the trouble and recommend using ModMii to update both Wii's. I suspect IOS58 is causing issues and HomeBrew Channel being current is vital. After using ModMii to update both Wii's, post SysCheck and ask for help if you are still having problems. Hope this fixed your issues.

I forgot to tell, I use USB loader gx. As for homebrew I have the right version.
I solved the issue, the problem was that some ISOs were damaged, I checked them with WiiBackupManager. I didn't know that this could happen when transfering the ISOs from one memory to another (the only way this could had happened). I downloaded them from the same source and now they work perfectly xd.

Thank you anyways ;)

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
