Hacking safe to use wood firmware on gateway?

I know there's a wood firmware for gateway, but I saw this:

I thought that only applied to modifying the red cart?

I was thinking of testing it with my 6.x 3DS console but I was afraid of bricks so I decided to just hold off from doing anything.

Well, it shouldn't brick, because AFAIK, the blue cart is running in DS mode, if it even bricks anything, it would brick the DS Mode.

This is better. It has emulators built into it. Make sure you download the GW version.

Yes, been out for many months, and has/had it's own thread on GBAtemp. I think MT-Card or somebody even included it in their own R4 card downloads (I dont think they gave credit?).

Again, it should be safe anyway, since it is DS Mode only.
