Hello guys just wondering is there anyway to run normal ds games (pokemon plat, black, white ect) on a 3ds with luma3ds and arm9loader hax without any flashcards or anything?

If not how could I go about it and what is the cheapest option that would work for me?:)

This question is asked like 3 times a day and it's always the same answer. There are currently only 3 methods of playing DS games on a 3DS.
1: Flashcart: Suggestion R4i Gold from r4ids.cn
2: 3DeSmume: Which is no where near as good a flashcart.
3: Simply buying the game
Once there is another method, you can rest assured that a google search will reveal it.

Why suggest R4I gold? Super card Dstwo is also good. :P
When you said 3DeSmume, i assumed you meant the pc emulator. I didn't know there was a DS emulator for 3DS. Cool anyway, thanks for that. :)
Also the third option is best option to be honest. :D

The DSTwo kills battery life and the only redeeming feature for it is no longer needed with CFW's. You can now play GBA and SNES games without it, so basically it's just in your 3DS, killing your battery.

Get a DSTT if you want to use flashcart forwarders, or an acekard 2i otherwise.

The R4 is good, if you get the right one; there are so many R4s that have timebombs that they're kind of dangerous to buy, unless you know for a fact that the one you're getting is good.

Well i didn't know that. If that was the case i maybe would have gotten it. IT also has anti piracy patches?
All flashcarts nowadays either have Anti-AP or have updated to 100% perfect compatibility.

SO what about video player or DSI support for like those DSI only games?

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    thanks btw
