I am trying to run homebrew launcher on my 10.5.0-30U o3ds emunand via the homebrew launcher loader, but it doesnt want to work. I also tried oothax and it got stuck while it was loading the ropbin. Does hombrew launcher not work on 10.5 yet?

You need to update your payload.

Install the HBL CIA version 1.1 (I think) in emuNAND, connect to the internet and when launching it hold Y to let it download latest payload and should boot into HBL. Press START and select Reboot.

Next time you don't need to connect to internet or hold Y key, the payload will work offline onwards.

on the root of your microsd, like all the other payloads
its there but I think maybe the payload is fine but the .3dsx is the problem. What is the name of the file it loads? is it the boot.3dsx?

Already tried that
It requires HBL boot.3dsx (basically any latest starter.zip file extracted) at root of console sd card. If you already have any Menuhax or themehax it won't break it as long as its payload is set to use other than boot.3dsx. Just make sure your HBL is boot.3dsx at root of console sd card.

Ok i found the problem. I had my 3ds setup to automatically boot into rxTools so my boot.3dsx was not hbl but instead something else. I changed some file names so that hbl is boot.3dsx and now it works :)
