[RUMOUR] New supposed WiiU game

A tipster has just emailed me with details and images of an exclusive new game for Wii U. The tipster didn’t mention the name of the game, only that the game was initially developed by a Swiss studio, this was closed and the IP was purchased by Nintendo. The game is apparently exclusive to Wii U and is being developed by a studio in Europe.[/p]

However, there are people saying it shares similairities with project off-set, a canned game from 2009. Here are a few more pictures of the supposed new Nintendo IP:

Now, it's not unlikely something like this could happen, however why would Nintendo want this? I don't think this is true, but I'll leave it up to you to judge, it's a rumour after all. Your thoughts?

That was footage from the original game right? Looks great, wonder how much it can improve in the Wii-U version, more shaders? Less borders? Better textures/frame rate? Or will it be exactly the same?
First time I hear Nintendo is working directly on a M-rated title, awesome.

Til I saw the video, I thought nintendo was gonna have there own take on fable based on the screen shots. I would love a similar game to fable for a rival console. It would give liongate/microsoft, a reason to improve and be more creative with fable. No fable journey doesn't count. I don't want fable in first person and kinect controlled.

Do a reverse-image search on Tineye and you'll find that those images are from Highlander: The Game and Theseis.
