Hmm
299.00 CAD = 221.172 EUR
would be Nice WHAT I mean it IS nice
biggrin.gif

I actually expected 300 EUR but this is even better ^^
.... I hope the Rumor is a Fact
I hope it isn't. Because Nintendo wants $$$ and they'll jack up prices for all countries that have (or have had) a monarchy government. It means that Japan gets the best price, while Canada and the States have it $300, Europe (majority) 250Euros, Australia $400, and Russia for 6,000 rubles.

pff why doesn't takes the whole world one sort of coin and one language, games would be much cheaper if they didn't had to be translated all the time-_-
Religion, years of war, 20th century. Three reasons why we can't be the same- we may be a similar race, but to us, we're different.

Lol taxes, good thing I live in a tax-free country (uh archipelago that is...)...now the price, hmm, I'm sure it won't be much. Remember this ain't Sony (we want people to work overtime just so that they can own the PS3 - eff j00 Sony), it's Nintendo here.

Hopefully the price isn't accurate; that's nearly $340 after taxes in Canada; and if the 3DS breaks $300 by even $1 (as a matter of principle) I intend to wait until there's a significant price drop.
you think that's bad the dsi here to buy is $250 so i expect the 3ds to be double that!
You think that's bad? DSi + 1 game bundle costs 335 usd here.
Wii used cost over 500$ when it was first release. (Not that it ever had a shortage)

3DS will probably cost as much as X360 Elite.

I dunno what the CDN or USD price would have to do with the EUR price. If the 3DS ended up costing let's say, $250 USD I'd expect them to just take that number and swap out the dollar sign for a euro one. When have they ever bothered with an equitable conversion in EUR pricing?

With christmas sales coming up, i expect the DSi to recieve a massive price drop before 3DS comes out.
I expect the DSi to be the same price as always to maximize profit during the holiday season.
Most people don't know about the 3DS, anyways.

Yeah. Even with 5% taxes, it's still a poor price.
You're lucky you're not in British Columbia or Ontario... we have 12% tax thanks to our provincial governments buying in on the Harmonized Sales Tax deal.

QUOTEYou know what? If the 3DS is the best system compared to GBA and DS, why not call this site 3DStemp? But, of course, it's not temporary any more, it's permanent. So, replace temp with perm and we get 3DSperm. Welcome to 3DSperm!
3DSperm... 3D Sperm...

Not a good idea.

Yes, but North American prices are traditionally less than a straight conversion of the Yen price. Australia and Europe get ripped off, for sure (something to take up with your branches of Nintendo and your retailers); but we don't.
it's not the retailers, i've seen the prices that we them in for at work
it's nintendo of australia being dicks
No, it's cause your currency sucks balls with the US exchange rate. Remember that everything revolves around the US dollar, if your currency wasn't so worthless against the American dollar, everything would be a lot cheaper. That plus it costs more money to ship products to Australia then it is to ship to places like Canada and they have to deal with shipping products to areas of the country that aren't as densely populated. It's all about economics, you should study it some time, it might enlighten you into why things are so expensive in your country compared to North America, same with those who live in Europe. Nintendo doesn't directly control the prices of their products in any given region, it goes by what the exchange rate is generally running at so they price it at an average. If they have to spend more money to ship their products further distances as well, they have no choice but to sell it at a higher cost.

its kinda expensive UNLESS we get a working 3ds flashcart... i bought my DS after 2 years (i think) of release of the DS when t'was 120$ in US
finally bought it for 200$ Aus with the r4 and mem reaching to around 300$ (i think r4 was 50$ at oz and 25$ for mem) plus single free cart, case and stylus pens

i might get this after 1 year of release IF there is a cart available (hopefully by some team tht is trusted these days or the cart has exellent fan support and pop like the R4 back in the day)

You do know an Australian dollar is worth over 96 US cents, right? The price differences are far more than 3.7 percent.
I would call you an Amercafag, but you're Canadian. I expect more of one of my own. Buck up, man!

3DSperm, the only site for Nintenfags, ROM Hackers, n00bs, normal people, and three-dimensional porn. Or just go have sex with your girlfriend, it's good enough already.

But, we're off-topic.

In reality, Nintendo's a freaking jerk. It does not cost $300 to make a 3DS, it just has the ability to print money.

I posted a funny gif one time on this, I forgot where I lost that.
