i got banned a month ago when i played smash bros with the new dlc with cloud, and i know for a fact that i was using a private header. ban only lasted like 45 days though.

Back to topic. Question: is this the problem with DLC CIA? Since if it's truly private header, then how did he got banned (that excludes cheating online)?

It is possible that Nintendo is actually now decrypting the private header contents, and verifying that it matches with the gamecode of the game that sent it. If that is the case, then the only safe private headers, are ones you dump from that exact game yourself.

Bans happened with MHX English patched online.
If you play only offline, I guess it's pretty safe.

I hope this is not true. lol I have a Jap n3ds and all ofmy CIAs are USA and EUR... I did get banned for cheating on badge archade but it was because of my own doing, even so, I can still play other games online just fine. Also I have emu 10.5 via gateway

Sound like off of topic , But what CFW you use? I just downgrade my n3dsJPN and can't decide which cfw is the best for playing out or region cia.

Did I say anything? You may do as you wish. I was stating that I will not follow the rules on a thread from someone who just pulled info from another forum from a non native English speaker.

Isn't the error code for banned users 002-0102? https://gbatemp.net/threads/error-code-002-0102-have-i-been-banned.380654/
Since this error code is different, I think it's most likely not ban related.
