Then gamestop shouldn't be sending out emails claiming the opposite.
I just got that same email... Never does it claim that you could ONLY get them at Gamestop. All it says is "only available via digital download". That in no way implies that Gamestop is the only one selling it. Just sayin'.

Gamestop could SELL eshop games
they just have a card(or something) that has a D/L code,

they same way the points card work(or PSN game cards)

there ARE D/L code for the eshop game
ie, kid icarus 3d classics code you get kid icarus uprising pre-order

I can confirm an update.
If you check your 3DS's and try a system update, you will find you can't. Error message displays like the E-Shop one :)
(3DS is EU.)

its still not midnight where NOA is... just a FYI. and NOUK is 2 hours away from midnight. NOJPN is after midnight so if anyone here has a JP 3DS try to access e-shop

Got that too on first try, after second try it sayd system up to date

I still think it's too late to confirm it. Perhaps the update will be live AFTER the Eshop has gone out of maintenance. So I suggest we wait. The maint. should end at 11 p.m. GMT!. NOT local time.

If I could access my eShop account from my PC... That'd be a huge step forward for Nintendo.

But I wonder what...

A brand new mode for the Nintendo 3DS system eShop.

...means.

Not an ugly weekly format change and an evolution into a more usable eShop?

One could hope.....

I get this:

With respect Shadow Soldier, what part of "you (ambassadors) are getting the games free while everyone else has to pay" don't you get? Regardless of whether other people get them or not, you got arguably $100 of free DLC in compensation that the rest of us have to pay for. I find it insane just how butthurt some ambassadors are being over the concept. Ambassadors are basically asking later adopters to be punished for something that was not their fault, and they had no control over. I think ALL Gameboy and Gameboy Advance games should be released to the eshop, if only for the sake of having the complete Nintendo handheld library on one handheld (something we have not officially had since after the DSLite).

Nintendo promised that the GBA games would be exclusive to Ambassadors. It's not the ambassador's fault that the later adopters didn't buy the console early.

Of course it's not the ambassadors' fault. Nintendo's decisions are Nintendo's decisions. But who are you to get enraged if Nintendo changes it's mind and does indeed sell them on the eshop? Also, did Nintendo actually SAY it would indefinitely be exclusive to ambassadors? Cuz some of these other comments say that Nintendo "has no plans to release GBA games on the eshop." If that indeed is what they really said, then that does NOT imply a promise to the ambassadors in any way whatsoever.

...But they never promised that. What part of "no plans" don't you understand
