ROM Hack Rom File Extension

Hi guys,

I just bought a DS with my poker winnings, anyways i am in the process of buying either M3Real card or CycloDS card.

I have noticed alot of the rom files have different file extensions ie.
.7z
.rar
.nds

Will all of these file extensions be ready by either M3Real or CycloDS. or should i be renaming each rom file to have a particular file extension like .nds?

You should extract 7z and rar files to nds with a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip.

7z and RAR are extensions of compressed files into 1 big file

.NDS is the extension used for game dumps from DS game cartridges.


Like Maikelsteneker says, 7z and RAR must be unpacked with a program like Winrar, winzip, etc... or any other program that can process compressed files.
(there are alot of freeware unzippers)

I'll just add that you can trim NDS files to make them smaller, there are tools in the download section that do that.
