    OK ALL U ROCKMAN EXE Fans
    {PROJECT HAS BEEN CANCELLED

    Im Learning how to work with Hex Editor and I need a good script program
    and im gonna translate the new Rockman EXE. Operation Shooting Star
    because this game is soo small i think its possible all i need is the Script of Rockman Made and ill do my best to translate it

    id love to help but i don't know any japanese and i really buisy with school most of the time...
    i could prolly do some testing but you might just want some people who know the game storyline/ can translate the new stuff

    awesome a rockman exe oos translation great hahaha finish the translation please i hope hahahha the text is a little diferent at the original battle netwrok you can translate the text of ryuusei no rockman I would like to help but not anything I'm learning Japanese just to translate roms.I hope the finish [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG]

    im not 100% sure but i think its in the /overlay folder

    i would want to play the game when they finish the translation then wait like like about a year for it to come out in english

    yes there is a fix...try look for the Rudolph universal child play...
    I will help translating...if some one teaches me how.

    I found it and did what it said and it doesn't work. says it can't find unniversal code.

    The game contains A LOT of compressed overlays files, the script might be inside of those files.
    If you unpack the rom with ds lazy, you can pack it back with ds lazy too.
    What hex editor are you using? Crystaltile2 might be able to decompress all those overlays files.
    I think I'll wait for the US version.

    I'll be honest. You appear to know almost nothing. No one is going to give you a program which will let you translate the game because such programs do not exist. If you can tell me what a pointer is without looking it up first, I might reconsider my position that you know almost nothing. Until then, nobody get too excited about this "project".

    if the test is in the overlays, then you're going toh ave to repoint the text as well. you can probably search for "pointers" or "overlay pointer" on this forum and find a topic or two on the subject.

    hmm i've been looking forward for this.. even thou the chances of an actual menu translations aren't that big, i'd like to apply for the beta testing, mainly because I have plenty of free time to test pretty much anything.. so, if this said "project" continues, count on me to test :3

    ps: I can speak/type/write english fluently so, i guess that's a plus

    It's ok if you want to test your skills trying to translate this game, but if you think translating it is actually a NEED then I'll just have to tell you is a waste of time. It'll get released in the US AND is the same game as EXE 1, which was released in english years ago.
