Im on the latest dash if it makes a difference. Could anyone tell me what components I need to do this hack? I have been looking around and its driving me crazy. Some people say to use a dgx to get the CPU key, others say that its outdated, I just want a list of parts that is the most up to date method of doing this hack. And yes I am a major noob when it comes to the Xbox scene. I have a lot of experience with soldering so my ability isn't really a problem ;) thanks for looking guys!

Hey look, someone here did this already.

Though I don't know where dinoh is. He is in fact very helpful in this area. But, everything you'll need should be in that post.
I saw that, in fact that is the post I am referencing when I said that some say you don't need the dgx anymore. Its just confusing to me because if you don't need it, why? Is there an update on the software for the cr4 xl that just totally removes the need for it and it can retrieve the CPU key somehow?

CR4 XL and a SD R/W kit if it's a 4GB model.
Only things you need.

I was spending time at me bf so wasn't online much.
NP Dinoh, I and anyone else here can't expect you to be here 24/7. :D I ended up buying a Jr programmer v2 and cr4 xl which had the qsb for free packaged with it. Normally I would do a wire only as I'm more of a do it yourself kinda guy, but this is my main box and I really don't want to screw something up although I have a lot of faith in my soldering skills.;)

what gb size is it? if its 4gb you will need to buy an additional product to go with what you have.

I hope for you that it's a HDD model and not the 4GB model.
Then it be a waste of the programmer.
Yeah lol I realized that right after and I got the 4gb rw kit too. Its not a waste because I plan on using it for other systems that I have too. That was quite silly of me though haha.

Back when Oculus Rift was still starting out and being demoed around, they modded existing games to use it as a 360° immersive screen thing and that was AMAZING.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc

The tech to have quality VR goggles at an affordable price is here, but every set has to have 4 additional controllers and be standalone.

These are the same type of gamers that spend $2,000 on a GPU when a $600 GPU gives nearly the same outcome which is what the market looks at for them to do spend more on unneeded bs
