Stable or nightly?
1.6.7 main, I don't trust nightly builds. The fact the main RPX doesn't even load is pretty serious.

Well since the changes in the makefile for the wiiu side it updated with no cores. Guess I will wait till that is fixed to try anything else.Go for nightlies for tests.
Nightlies use the latest available code in Github to be compiled, so if anything screws up we know it with the latest code in Github and not some commit from months ago.
You should hack your WiiUI'll check it out, trying to get the keymapper working... not sure why it's so difficult though...
I have plenty of (more powerful) devices running RA already.
Anyway I think I fixed the build at least.
Keymapper should be there too (hopefully).
So essentially it is trying to load a core but can't so messes up?I actually had a strange, similar problem - retroarch.rpx would dump back to HBL and HBL would then lose the ability to launch anything (yes, really).
Turned out it was a twofold problem - the core directory was set wrong, so it couldn't find any cores. Thus, it apparently fell back on a playlist entry - from my recents, which for some reason were *all* set to cfwbooter. Um.
Newest nightly I dunno if it has been fixed with the last commit but i dont see that being it but
When you try to set the directory for the roms it Code dumps.
Also Do you have any idea why the main retroarch.rpx might blackscreen when trying to load it from HBL? I know before it had a config that wasn't right. but that doesnt happen anymore. I figured maybe something is going on since its the only one that will not load and just sits on blackscreen.
That works. but that channel isn't a forwarder. It loads its own thing iirc. So that doesn't really fix the problem at hand. But since noone really cares to take on any problems right now, i guess there isnt a sense in discussing them anyways. Just load from the outdated channel rpx but have all the cores updated.Hello!
Regarding the black screen problem, I've been in the same situation (with .rpx version, .elf worked without problems), and the only way to make Retroarch work was to run in via Channel forwarder (there are posts about this issue few pages back). I've tried 1.6.7 stable and a few nightlies (around September 15th). Speaking of Retroarch channel forwarder, how do you update Retroarch? Is it enough to update SD:/retroarch folder with a new version (since there aren't any Retroarch files in SD:/wiiu/apps), or there are some additional steps to be done?
Best regards,
Davor

Re-updated everything, dosbox keyboard controls now work perfectly. My only issue now would be getting a single game working. .lol.With fixed it I mean it shouldn't be empty anymore
