Man, this thing is the real deal.
Everything that didn’t work great for me in the pre-upstream all seems to be fixed now.
Loving it.
Big respect to m4xw nate twin aphex and everyone else involved in bringing this thing to where we are today.

Why? What difference will that make?

Not having to use those damn RCM jig every time, that's why. And no, I don't trust bridging/shorting those two pins, either, ruining the console possibly. I don't
have money for a second console. Is it wrong to want to have a more streamlined solution to CFW? Is it wrong to want to see a scene where permanent CFW can be
installed without having to use a jig?

Edit: The risks involved and tedium in getting homebrew to run is unmotivating to me. Hell, even the Wii U had permanent CFW.

Oh ok, that's fair enough. I just leave mine in sleep mode when not using it. Hopefully permanent CFW is a reality in the future :)

You only run it once, then just use sleep mode instead of switching it all the way off.
You don't need the jig coming out of sleep mode

I just..I don't know. Like, I know homebrew runs on 6.x.x just fine, and I'm glad it does, but the entire process, the numerous guides, how to launch apps, it's all so daunting. So daunting that I don't even know
if I should look into it, much less risk permanent bans and bricking the firmware. I don't even think NAND backups can be done on 6.0.0, but correct me if I'm wrong. There's no clear or straightforward guide
to getting a version 6 console ready for homebrew for free; I know I can use a paperclip, but why risk damaging the console? *sigh*

But jigs cost money, and I'd rather not support a certain team's products by buying their premade jigs. A paperclip just sounds like an issue waiting to happen. The problem is there
are no consolidated guides or threads, it's all a mess.

Does a forwarder (like this one) also have the memory benefits like I would have by starting it over the hbmenu NSP?
Also I'd prefer it to point to /switch/retroarch/whatever.nro as I hate NROs being thrown into the switch directory but I know there are more important problems in this world. :P

That's just it, where do I find these guides, what CFW do I use? There are too many, unconsolidated guides
If you want "sigpatches" say no more, get ReiNX, if you only want homebrew access get Atmosphere (aka SDFiles), both options are pretty self-explain, so don't worry to get lost
