If someone cares about the Neo Geo CD, I have ported the neocd core to the switch, it shouldn't take too long until it arrives to the buildbot :)

AAHHHH Thank you so much for that!

You're the real champ.

I wonder if someone could port it over to PSvita as well... but that's another thing...

FYI guys I added SameBoy emulator to RetroArch Switch, compared to other Game Boy emus this has some features you may love :)

Grab it on buildbot/online updater while it's hot!

Soo, with more obscure plattforms coming up, any chance someone will port bsnes? I'd love to play Mario Kart in HD :P
Not sure if the switch hw is good enough for HD Mode 7 or even for bsnes alone.

i have one small thing im stuck with resolving if anyone could help. im using gensplusgx for master system and mega drive roms. they work perfectly except master system screen is slightly offset to the right leaving horrible annoying line all the way through the left side (top2bottom). this is with 16.9 ratio and if i change it to custom and sort it out it then it makes my mega drive roms slightly off screen instead lol. any suggestions? at worst i could use picodrive as it doesnt have that problem but would rather gensplus

Wait, is that an simulated Link Cable in that Tetris image where each Joy-Con is "one Game Boy"?
How does that work with savegames (like two players using different Pokémon Red savegames to fight each other via a Link Cable match)?

I second this. Pretty massive hardware is needed on a PC unfortunately although I'd love to have that as well on the Switch.

I'm no tech guy, and I know the Switch is a bit dated, but it runs quite well on Smartphones, so maybe there is a chance :3

Everytime I enable the rewind function it makes my n64/dreamcast really slow even though I dont use it on them cores. I have to delete the retroarch config and restart with my settings. Anyone else get this?

Hi Guys,

another question regarding the mupen64 core:

When i play Banjo kazooi in widescreen mode I get this ugly pop ups and graphic glitches whenever i turn the camera (on the right and left side, where usually would be only black border if I'd use 4:3 resolution)

Is there anything I can do about? I saw some older YT-Videos where that game ran without the glitches on the switch.

Also the games freezes from time to time...

can anyone help me? :(

I've tried all settings, but it won't get any better.

In this 9 month old video there seem to be no issues with the wide screen settings.

Update:

As I couldn't find any fix for the missing textures / graphic glitches in 16:9 screen ratio, I switched back to 4:3

The game runs smooth, however I get freezes which seem to occur absolutly randomly after playing 10-20 min. I allways have to close and restart retroarch.

Is this a known issue?

no , you are helpful.

-i have really no idea what is wrong ,i verify every folder structure/names/caps/size

-i will do more test by replacing some images by snaps or titles (less Mo) from fba who works , also taking the same playlist structure from fba (just roms change and .lpl name)

- i verify the database for mame2003 plus qnd the names of the roms/snaps ard there !

will see

It's been a while not commenting to help others as a true gamers.

I think I know the problems that you're facing.

First thing first. Open your retroarch location as below and pay attention on two important folders which deals with "Thumbnails".
Folder Number 1.

As you can see that my playlist folder contain a file by name "MAME 2003-Plus.lpl" this is the name of the MAME 2003 cores that I use to play The Most Outstanding Classic Arcade Coin Up Games for me.

Folder Number 2.

The second folder that you're going to deals with is the "Thumbnails" Folder. As you can see I have also one file in this folder and its called "MAME" in it you will have three main folders called as "Named_Boxarts - Named_Snaps - Named_Titles".

Now your problems is on the folder number 1 (the first image that i upload).

in your "Playlist" folder the output for the thumbnail that was generated by whatever programs that you use was pointing out to a different location, so the RetroAch system cannot locate it.

now what you need to do is to "REGENERATE" you playlist for MAME I Suppose by using The RetroArch PlayList.

and follow my RetroArch Playlist Buddy Configuration (NOTE: All You need is to copy the drive location where you put all the Retroach files). Here's my configuration:

after you choose the next step, it will then point out where you put your MAME Romset.

AND THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF ALL: The generated files of this Program (The RetroArch Playlist Buddy) will be found in your Retroarch "Playlist" Folder. What you need to do next is to reconfirm the db_name /database name into the right Thumbnails name. For MAME 2003 Plus the thumbnail names must be MAME also.
and your good to go.

Quick question for anyone who plays N64 games. I'm trying to play Pokemon Snap (an old favorite of mine) and the game slows down a little too much during the runs. Is there anyway I can try and combat this without OCing (I'm worried about damaging the Switch if I do)?

I did change a few settings I found online, but no luck so far.
Thanks for any help

Does nobody really know anything about banjo kazooie freezing randomly :( I can't be the only one. I allready read that people in this thread played this game without any issues... today the game froze 2 times within 30 min. I think I'm just gonna give up on playing this game...

Have you tried not in widescreen?
