Hey, trying to emulate SNES games on a recently modified Switch. It's an unpatched Erista with no hard mods, with Android 15/LineageOS 22 TV installed alongside stock Horizon OS. I used the emuMMC method, leaving sysMMC stock.

I'm using Retroarch, and no matter which OS I use, SNES emulation seems lacking. Both sides seem to have issues with audio playback and inconsistent frame rates, which means I experience distorted or clipped short audio, as well as random slowdown, regardless of core.

I don't seem to have issues with emulation of contemporary consoles (i.e. the Genesis or the Turbografx 16/PC Engine,) so I wanted to know if anyone had any pointers.

Edit: Also forgot to add, Switch Retroarch is having... interesting problems. For some reason, I can't use any other menu than RGUI, even though it started with Ozone, and I can't revert it back to Ozone. Kind of afraid that's indicative of corrupted configuration files, so I've deleted them and reinstalled the app twice, but it's happened both times.

Thank you.

Can't help you with SNES emulation, but in regards with the interface of Retroarch:

If you change the video output from "gl" to "switch", it will be locked out of the ozone theme until you switch it back. I have no idea why it does it though.

Considering I was toying around with many options, video included, attempting smoother emulation, that's probably what happened. Thanks for the heads up.
