If only something like Hekate supported booting from different partitions. Or does it actually? My Switch is the newest one (new box / better battery), so TegraRCMSmash is out of the question, so I can't check, despite owning a Switch.
Still more trouble than it's worth for literally no benefit.

Yes, you can dual boot android on the same card as your normal Switch stuff. Using the native Switch version is still much more convenient for the large majority of cores that work well on it, let alone the fact that android on Switch is still maturing, isn't 100% stable, doesn't support analogue movement, etc. It's great to have both options available, but there's still plenty of reasons to "why bother" with this version.

Just got into RetroArch switch now and copied over some MAME Roms I had.
However, they're not being detected.
When I select the ROM itself from "Load Content", Atmosphere crashes and I have to reboot.

Do I need to run a tool (GoodROM etc) on the ROMs to make them compatible, or is there something else I'm missing?

8.1.0 atmosphere, latest stable RA - 1.7.8.

You need to use the mame romset for .78

Sorry guys, I've been out of the loop for a while in RetroArch stuff.
I know Flycast has been added with great compatibility, and there have been some recent updates I think.
Can anyone tell me if both RE Code Veronica and Sonic Adventure 2 work with the latest build?

SA2 is still not playable due to graphical glitches, Code Veronica is perfect i believe.

Is anyone actively working on gamecube emulation for switch right now?

If so, could you please send me some links where I can check for the current progress (like their twitter account)?

Thanks in advance!

As a newbie who never used Reatroarch on any system before: did i overlook something or is it impossible to play games from a network (samba/ftp/...)?

I would also like to know this, also can roms be played from an external USB drive?

just a curious question and many thanks in advance, the scummvm core. i can get games to load but how would i get games to autoplay like other systems?

Is it normal for Retroarch to crash after closing content then opening a different rom ?
I find I generally have to restart retroarch completely from hbl when switching roms which is a pita.
This is with clean nightlies, stables. always had the issue.
On Atmosphere/SX whatever same thing.
