Hi all, sorry to bother with a personal question.
Does anyone have Retroarch crashing when using savestates (saving and loading them)? In my case it happens with the Snes9x 2010 core (retroarch.vpk night build downloaded on Monday).

Use the 2005 version its more stable.

Sorry to ask but I have searched and cannot find an answer...

On PSX is the analogue sticks working yet and if so how do I enable/disable them and has L2 and R2 been mapped to the back touch pad yet?

Am I missing something, or is it possible to map the rear touchpad (Vita) to hotkeys? I have one of those L/R2/3 grips and it would be immensely useful for fast forwarding and turbo toggling.

For those wanting N64, Adrenaline has been Released. Since it allows for 64MB RAM, N64 should be good
you do know the original pspemu was locked to the psp1000 ram of 32mb ram right? so all this would do is unlock the 64mb of ram that the psp 2000 had and n64 ran like absolute shit on psp even with 64mb of ram so don't get peoples hopes up for nothing

Speaking of Adrenaline, Midway Arcade Treasures for PSP is a great port. I remember people were having MAME issues with Midway games - I know one guy in particular on this board was dying to get MK1-3 running well. I spent a good hour playing Toobin in TATE (vertical) mode last night. So good.....

Is the Saturn emulation still shitty?
Of course it is.

N64 was never a selling point for full PSP access on Vita; even if people DID use the PSPEmu for N64, DaedalusX64 isn't exactly a full-featured product worth the hassle.

Disable Digital to Analog in the controls subsection of the Quick Menu (Which lets you map the D-Pad to the analog sticks; when disabled, if the DualShock controller was supported in the game to begin with, the sticks act as just that. If not, the controller ceases to work.)

The touchscreen can be used: In the main menu -> Controls subsection, "Enable Touchscreen" should be on. From there, it defaults to the front touchscreen; enable "Prefer Rear Touch" to use the rear instead, as only one or the other can be used.
The four corners of the front/rear touchscreen/pad act (From top-left to bottom-right) L2, R2, L3, and R3. Map these controls as necessary for the cores.

I also recommend using "L3 + R3" for the Menu shortcut.

I have all that enabled, as the L2/R2/L3/R3 can be mapped in-game, but they cannot be used for hotkey binds, which is my largest need.

So still no N64 core working then? That's a shame, would be nice to have. Has DOS box got inputs now? Really would love to play some settlers 2 on the move!

DOS has inputs now, just set them in the Options subsection of the Quick Menu: However, VGA games aren't EXACTLY full speed (Tried with Duke Nukem 2). It takes a lot of precise cycle tweaking to find the most optimal settings.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I have all that enabled, as the L2/R2/L3/R3 can be mapped in-game, but they cannot be used for hotkey binds, which is my largest need.

It only accepts physical input. Then again, there isn't much to map aside from maybe Quick Load/Savestate.

I noticed that this has an option for filters.
Curious do any actually work yet?

I tried 2 months ago and none would show up to use.

Truly, i was able to assign the L/R buttons and touch screen to hotkeys by modding the retroarch.cfg (must find the options needed and the number of button/zone to map)

Set, for instance, L2 and R2 to touch screen and then in cfg set those button numbers to the options (load/savestate) You can find the numbers of buttons in controller settings of quick menu
