Hello, sorry if this has been asked before I'm new here and to homebrew and I'm having some trouble. Nothing i search online seems to give me the answer i need so I'm resorting to asking myself.
I have my Wii setup with homebrew, everything is working i have nintendont setup and the games launch just fine and everything works. I'm using an SD card. My issue is i cannot get any controllers to work, and before i spend anymore money on controllers i wanna see if it is just user error.
So i have my native controller settings to off and I'm using a Wii mote with a Wii classic pro controller plugged into it. Now the Wii mote is non official (i cant find an official one) but the Wii classic controller is an official controller has the Nintendo engraved on the back with the RVL-005 as well.
The problem i am having is i will boot a Nintendo game i will make sure my Wii mote and everything is on and connected before hand. i launch it via the pro controller so i know its working. As soon as the game boots it shuts off my Wii mote and when i turn the Wii mote back on the player 1 light is no longer lit and all 4 lights are just flashing and i cant do anything i cant even exit the game i have to unplug the cord on the back to get it back to the home page.
I will post what is in my nintendont folder idk if I'm missing any controller files or configs or if i need to maybe just buy a Wii u pro controller?
Also i am using a black Wii that does not have GNC compatibility so i do not have the GameCube controller slots otherwise id just buy a GameCube controller.
I'm up for any suggestions i just wanna play my GameCube games again :) thanks!
Also let me know if i forgot to add any information that would help with solving this!

This is the culprit. Homebrews tend to have issues with non-genuine wiimotes. The wiimote are the one sending signals to the console so even if your classic/pro is genuine, the one sending signal is still not.

Buy a genuine one. Widely available and affordable at your country.

Yup. Neverends should be 100% right on this one. It's the Wii remote at fault. Homebrew doesn't play nice with unofficial Wii remotes. Once you get a real one, you should be able to play no problem with the classic controller. I've done so many times myself.
