any improvements ?
Going through a few games atm but not seen any "visible" improvement in them.
This is most likely the best it can get, unless someone will take the time to make one optimized specifically for n3ds.
Well most if not all games are atleast playable, though not "perfect".

IIRC there are still things that can improve perfomance like Hardware Rendering, but it's very hard to implement AFAIK. That's what makes perfomance of the standalone snes9x port good on O3DS.

There's probably improved stability.

Also I got some games to run faster using the PBP format suggested as well as when turning frame throttle off. Sadly this does make some screens run too fast in some games, like FMVs and loading screens.

All hail the stability.
Hmmm i should try PBP format for some of the games.

Doesn't sound right at all. In the past, I've always gotten Genesis GX+ to work the best on N3DS. However, that was a while ago.
Funnily enough, pretty sure it was the opposite; that PicoDrive ran worse. And that would make sense, since it has 32X emulation packed in as well.
This is my experience as well, always had slowdown with Picodrive!

I'm hoping someone can help me out with this...

I was previously using PCSX Rearmed 1.3.6, everything was working fine up until a while ago when the audio stopped working for some reason (audio driver fails to load). Hearing the new updates are stable again, I decided to update thinking that would fix my problems. The latest stable (1.6.7) simply crashes my system whenever I boot a game. The newest nightly does boot games again (9/5 nightly), and they actually run really well with the PBP format, but I'm still getting the audio driver failure and am not getting any sound.
Here is what it says in the log:

failed_to_start_audio_driver

What's weird is that it doesn't always happen, I'd say maybe 10% of the time it will boot up a game with sound. But most of the time I get that error.

Possibly related but not entirely sure, it's also crashing my system quite a bit more than it used to.

Does anyone know what might be causing these problems?

I would like a Predator game "Kill Team" it takes place in the Jungle of the first movie, your team is sent to hunt the predator, using current tech drones and a trained team. Set traps use strategy to hunt and trap or kill the predator.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ill stick with my Battlefield. Yea a predator hunting game like that would be cool. Esp if you can be Arnold and say "Get to da choppa"

I went today and looked at a motorcycle someone was selling. I get there and the battery on it was dead, so the guy grabbed a battery charger and hooked it up. He plugged it into the wall, and the motorcycle sparked and started smoking. Come to find out the bike uses a 6 volt battery and the guy had the charger set to 12v. I said sorry to the dude and walked away. I felt bad for him tho.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
He ruined it basically. Sad cause it was a decent old bike. It would take more money to rewire the bike than it was worth tho.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah I'm sure at minimum the starter was fried
