Perfectly, but take an older core for GPSP (or newer I guess, not sure, just not the 1.3 release) since it has some weird flicker on the top bit of the screen that wasn't there before, and Mother 3 suddenly doesn't work.

Are any older builds hosted somewhere? The newest and oldest GPSP cores available on the nightly site have the same issues, and at least for now I'd like to be able to go back to the core version that worked perfectly, before 1.3.

I just grabbed it, and yeah, there´s the horrible flicker, can someone direct me to a version that doesn´t have it? also last version doesn´t play mario vs donkey kong or metroid zero mission

I managed to dig up an old download of the January 3 nightly, and it still has the issues. How far back do we need to go?

The first G.I. Joe A Real American Hero is not working on the QuickNES here :'(
It loads up fine, and screen freeze right after starting the game
G.I. Joe Atlantis Factor works fine, anyone?

Hold it, I just managed to dig up a November nightly download, and it both still says Retroarch 1.3.0 in the version string on the menu, and still has the issues. Is it not a core thing but some shared files issue?

Old core at least loads games like Mother 3 fine and plays them well, but what with the awful graphic glitches on the top of the screen?

Well. I tried using the .cia files from Nov 8th and they work no problem. Then I downloaded the Dec 10th files and they get stuck on the menu without me being able to move at all, just quit by pressing home, so it's not the cfg file... Or at least it shouldn't be. I tried the .3ds versions and same deal. Honestly, I'd really like some attention here because I'm stumped. :P

Here you go friend.

What nightly versions do you recommend to be installed as a CIA?
Specifically for these cores:

fMSX.
Genesis Plus GX
Nestopia
PocketSNES
Mednafen VB
gpSP (Without the tearing issue)

noticed the gpsp tearing issue isn't there with a filter enabled - It's also present in CatSFC. Also, mother 3 seems to be working for me (someone a few posts up said it wasn't).

On another note, is there any word of filters working in genesis + gx? They've always been broken on the 3ds (as in the console, not the file) builds, but not on retroarch pc.

I can also confirm that I have Mother 3 working with the latest CIA build of gpsp.
As for the tearing issue, for some reason I get it on some games and some don't. For example, one game in which I always get it is the Super Mario Advance 4 hack with includes all the 38 eReader levels. Mother 3 on the other hand doesn't have it.
@zerofalcon perhaps trying out that one might help you replicate the problem.

Weird, I tried the 1.3 release and then the newest nightly and the new issues were all there. Maybe I'll try it again.

Thanks for the filter advice, that worked great. No more of the annoying tear after I applied some do-nothing filter.

This is all reporting from my old late-November build, but now whenever I switch games I crash. Maybe that's a filter glitch, I'll have to go try this fix on the new build.

EDIT: On the latest nightly, filters just make things crash it seems. I put a random on one while playing Mother 3 (which did load fine) and it just stopped and the program crashed. Other filters worked fine though, but the issue from the old nightly remains.

So yeah, annoying screen-top glitch with filter off, and can't switch games when it's on.

I remember having those issues back in November (on the 3dsx builds back then, though). Try disabling the DSP audio driver, that fixed it for me.
