Retro Freak - emulation console with cartridge support.

Hi,

I wanna start this thread since I have this console and wanna ask if anybody use this or maybe hacked it and wanna share the experiences.

Console isn't new, but currently is offered by one of local retro shops.

I bought the Standard version, since Premium wasn't available. I am really happy with this thing. This plays lot of retro systems like NES, SNES, MD, MS, PC-E, GB, GBC, GBA, GG etc.

I think this is better than Retron5 since it allows to dump cartridges to microSD and play it without cartridge (ROMS are encrypted).

I found some info that it is hackable and it allows to play more systems like PS1, N64 - but all is in Japanese.

Before I got the Super NT, I was highly interested in the Retro Freak, way more than the Retron5, didn't know it could be hacked

I'd love to have NT also but it cost lot more because i must pay extra for import/taxes.

LOL encrypted Roms.

Still interesting thread and following for curiosity.
FYI the Retron 5 dumped the roms in a decrypted manner. getting to them though was a different story(pain in the butt)

I do not know japanese, but as far as i know IT is handled by sd card with preflashed images from github, there are images for 8gb card and 32gb card.

But IDK if IT is safe or way to reflash stock fw.

But if aby of you have Retron5 there is also hack for it.
