Hardware Replacing Ps3's Blue-Ray drive need to know what to do

So my cfw ps3's drive(4.53 Habbib) never worked from the time i bought it but now i want to buy a replacement drive. i know the logic board works because i am able to run and play hombrew apps and games. so basicly i am wondering what do i need to do in order to replace the drive?

You'll need the exact same BD drive for that PS3 model.
Then swap the PCB's and yer done ;]

You do need the original drive. There is a board, on the bottom of the drive, that needs to be removed and placed on the new drive. It's really a simple process on the phat PS3s. I'm not sure if it's much different on the other models.
