I was looking around DealExtreme and I found a set of replacement button contact pads for the D-pad, face buttons and Start/Select. My DS Lite's D-pad is beginning to act up (Down needs slightly more pressure than the other buttons to register) but I'm sick of sending it in for warranty every four months. Is it worth voiding my warranty to install these new contacts?

Instead of buying new contacts, just clean the old ones with alcohol and a QTIP.

If problem still occurs, then buy new contacts.

And I honestly don't know if replacing them voids it or not.

It might void since you have to open the DS. But if you don't break anything in the process, then it won't void.
