So unfortunately my backplate started squeaking/creaking today on my New Nintendo 3DS console which is almost 2 months old. My guess the squeaking started due to the frequent removing of the backplate to access the micro SD card.
So I found a pretty neat solution which effectively removes the squeak!

So before you start you should keep in mind that youll need several things which are super easy to find!

1. Sellotape (clear tape).
2. A screwdriver to open the backplate.
3. About 10 minutes of your time!

So first youre going to want to take a small piece of clear tape and tape it in half as shown in one of the pictures bellow. Next youre gonna place that piece of tape under the part of the backplate that squeaks which is most likely a corner on the new models. Be sure the tape doesnt overlap and sits tightly between the console and the backplate. Tighten your screws and your console should be squeak free!

If one piece of tape doesnt help, you can place even more!

3. Tape placement. Ive placed my piece of tape on the upper side of the console which did the trick for me. Pro tip: Once youve made your piece of tape you can slightly remove one side of it and tape it to your battery or wherever depending on the size of the tape. Just be sure to place the tape as shown in the picture bellow and that it doesnt overlap for estetic reasons and my OCD
