A small variant of FTbrony for those of us who aren't bronies or dislike Nintendo :).

Download link here: https://github.com/ev1l0rd/ftpdorf/releases

Obviously this shares all the issues FTbrony currently has as I only changed the background image.

Could you make one with a customizable bg?
No, but the way it's done is rather simple :). FTbrony uses two files for it's banner (well, technically one but the other is handy for a preview). If you look at FTPdorf, it pulls the image from banner.bin in the data folder.

The image ftpdorf uses is in the gfx folder.

Using this tool you can convert an image to *.bin. When you do that, just replace banner.bin with the file outputted from that site and it should work out.

The gfx folder is there for preview.

But I can't compile... :(

So from what I'm getting... Just convert the image.bin and just compile the source code? Seems easy enough.

Yep. Although if you plan on forking the github, it would be nice to change the gfx image as well.

Side-note: For anyone looking to change the homebrew menu appearance, it's in Makefile.3ds. Look for the APP_ lines. It just doesn't support colons. The image is defined with ICON.

Here you go. Still called ftbrony though. If you want to modify that. Well be my guest. It's easy to install the development kit. All you need to do after my instructions is to run make in the directory and move the resulting files out of there.

(Again sidenote: installing the compile stuff is easier on windows than linux. Source: This one is compiled on windows and FTPdorf was compiled on linux)

Thanks a lot! There should be a simple color set! :P

Would you possibly be able to compile a .CIA version please with maybe a decent home menu banner... I thank you in advance for even thinking about it :)

Nope. I don't know how to compile .cia files. If you could explain to me how that would go, I would be thankful.

Is this the year of the FTP servers?
All the FTP devs should get together and code one "good" FTP server with speeds comparable to the SD card management from the N3DS :D

If we aren't lacking one thing, it has to be FTP servers :D
