New guy here, I am trying to use a ESP8266 as a host, but I do not see a file for it. For earlier versions I flashed a .bin file with NodeMCU. I don't see one with the new version. Please point me in the right direction.
Thanks

1.5.5 ESP hasn’t been completed yet.

Stay tuned.

Nine hours ago he tweeted that he's starting to work on the esp version.

X-PROJECT NEWS:

+ 1.5.5 ESP is well underway, may beat the Friday deadline I imposed :P
+ Fan control payload added to the next X-Project version (currently labelled 1.5.6)
+ Avatar/user image refined, now has a default image (Sony Smiley Square) if a user avatar.png is not found :)

EDIT:
+ refactored code for avatar, now even simpler!
+ attempted local-link IPv4 tests and ZERO workd on the PS4 browser, although they all worked on my laptop browser.
+ re-made fan controller payload, now works properly, less OOM's (still work to do), possibly found method of making it adjustable too ;)

EDIT 2:
BE CAREFUL with the fan control payload. I tested the payload and it worked but the fans don’t turn off, you have to pull the plug. I held the power button on mine as I didn’t have easy access to the plug, and as a result the console seemingly turned off fine. On starting it back up, I got immediate high fan noise, so I scrambled and pulled the plug. After a few mins I restarted and was greeted with a “the systems encountered a serious error” message, which took me to safe mode. Luckily I knew to restore default settings before going too extreme with it, and this fixed my issue and didn’t initialise my console. Nothing was lost and all is back to normal.

Pulling the plug (and leaving unplugged for a few mins) resets the fan properly.

X-Project news:

+ rewritten a couple of XMB parts in index.html to make it dynamic/future proof (so if people edit index.js it wont break)
+ rewritten avatar code now uses 210px by 210px png image to fit in nicely, super small, super cool, user customizable through ./ccs/custom.css and swapping out the ./avatar.png. If avatar.png is not present, it falls back to the default image :)
+ hundreds more IP tests this morning, again yielded zero results... I can easily capture public ip, just not local ip. I think there may be a way by modifying the exploit host exe. Stay tuned.
+ added avatar image to the notification pop up instead of the PS button (less indication to press ps button for no reason :P)

Well I think 1.5.5 ESP has tested ok.

Release should be announced soon....

Going forward with 1.5.6 version I have another feature from 8 months ago in the works:

+ I have re-implemented random RGB XMB colour tinting!:
= thousands of possible colours.
= applies to all titles and icons (except debug/cache/quick)
= applies to loader/done/fail messages and notification box tint too.
= added “style” and “revert” icons to XMB to control this feature
= saves automatically and permanently to localStorage (until cache cleared)
= default colour scheme is still controlled from css/custom.css

I have also already added:

+ custom avatar (with fallback if none present)
= supports JPG/PNG/GIF (animated too): specify file format near bottom of index.html
+ avatar image added to notification popup
+ click on the notification to dismiss notification: toggle debug quicker
+ fan control v2 payload

In progress:

~ IP resolution from server: no need to enter IP if hosted over LAN (so damned close)
~ Mira detection (soon after IP resolution)
~ New game mod menu payloads (possibly)
~ Stability to prevent OOM when not cached: not sure how possible this is.

Planned:

~ KrakHEN + universal payloads.
~ Slimmed down ESP universal version for firmwares (1.76 + 4.05/4.55/4.74/5.00/1 & 5.05/7)

X-PROJECT NEWS:

1.5.5 ESP edition is out now:
https://mir.cr/VR9Y9RVM

MASSIVE thanks to @Leeful for being a legend!

Change log:
- removed Mira+hen1.8+VR payload.
- removed a few extraneous Mira+hen payloads.
- removed usb cache and applicationcache payloads.
+ under the hood fixes.

Really impressed with 1.5.5 release so far. I have tried and tested almost everything. Perfection!
One little thing to point out, after u cache you can't use the extreme blocker mod. It does work just fine if u are hosting via a server.

Am I missing something or has the ability to edit the wireless details been removed (on 1.5.5 esp)? The config file from FTP is no longer visible and 7.7.7.7/settings.html is missing.

They are still there.
Its: 7.7.7.7/settings
not: 7.7.7.7/settings.html

You can also use any URL you like with the ESP and it will still work. (just make sure to end in /index.html for caching to work)
eg
http://PS4.com/index.html - (http://PS4.com/settings for the settings file)
http://7.com/index.html - (http://7.com/settings for the settings file)
