I was having issues because I didnt re-load the template after changing. Which is why I got a little frustrated lol.

Also, even though some of the games run now with Macronix as manufacturer, using a different header and macronix as the manufacturer gave me error online.
Could headers have any specific connection to the manufacturer?
It's undetermined, but often times just changing the manufacturer ID makes a Unique ID work correctly, which is why I made SAK to allow users to change all the bits "to order", so to speak. If you're encountering errors, change the manufacturer until it works. Be sure to button-cycle the cart after making changes to reload the header.

Did you follow the instructions in the first post, switched the template in the writer and game-cycled the cart with the button?

It's a bit tricky to do that because it requires ROM's to be present. No Ban No Sky just injects Unique ID's, SAK calculates certain values from the ROM, which is completely different. Even batch operations would be hard due to the customizability aspect of the app, but I do have certain plans that will save everyone a lot of trouble.

Why does avg and chrome detect it as malware?
Blame .Net. It's a false positive, there's nothing "malware" about it, it's probably listed because it demands Admin access if you want to trim ROM's (it writes directly to the drive rather than use .NET's file system buffers since they're too small to large files).

Hello,
Thanks for the tool Foxi, I guess it work good because everyone say so , altough i may be doing something wrong because I always get 02-0123 error. Im working with 1.5.1 and here is what I did :
imported the sky3ds template (0723)
imported rom (tetris axis) (CTR-P-ATLE)
paste my unique ID (extracted from my steel diver)
Copied the EEPROM ID info that was on the template
Put the cart ID that was on template, exept for the size that was F8(2gig) and puted FF istead (since the rom is 256meg)
hit the auto-detect Unknow ID
Generated template
copy paste and save it to replace the one in sky3ds template
write my rom by reselecting the template
poped tetris and tried to go online and erroooor

I wonder if you can help me

cheers ! , P.S : I went in Poland once for woodstock festival in krostny , crazy !!

I'm a fan of Woodstock myself, top festival!

As for the data you've put in:
1. Delete the game, if possible delete the save as well
2. Change the declared size back to what the template says, no need to change anything in the Cart ID for now.
3. Write the game with the new template and game-cycle with the button to update on-board data.
4. If it fails, change the Cart ID manufacturer and re-try - C2 works in 90% of cases.
5. Do not edit the Sky template, save your custom template separately and select it from DiskWriter. Often times games have duplicate releases with the same product ID, but different SHA1 values. To avoid confusion, save to *.txt instead.

Good luck and keep on trying!

No problemo, enjoy the games! In my spare time I plan on making SAK more user-friendly to avoid confusion regarding how to use it correctly, for now real life keeps me a bit busier than I'd like. :P

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
